Pundit warns Leeds of 'dangerous' Raphinha call after Hay update
Paddy Kenny has claimed it would be “so dangerous” for Raphinha to play for Leeds United against Southampton after returning from international duty.
The former Leeds goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted Marcelo Bielsa should not risk the 24-year-old at St Mary’s on Saturday.
As reported by The Athletic’s Phil Hay (13th October), Leeds are confident of having the winger available for selection despite his international commitments.
Brazil face Uruguay in the early hours of Friday morning (BST) in Manaus.
Meanwhile, Leeds kick off in Southampton at 15:00 BST on Saturday.
As quoted by Brazilian news outlet ge.globo, Brazil boss Tite has suggested Raphinha will make his first international start against the Uruguayans.

With a quick turnaround between games, Kenny has suggested Leeds may have to do without their star winger.
Kenny told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Listen, I think it’s difficult to expect him to play on Saturday having played on Friday.
“Liverpool have the same with Alisson and Fabinho. I think it’s going to be difficult for him to play this weekend.
“I think it’s dangerous as well. For me, you’ve got to look at the big picture. You’ve got the full season ahead of you. Fatigue and flying and playing, it’s so dangerous.
“I think none of them play, if I’m honest.
“Listen, they’re at Southampton. With or without Raphinha, I think they might have enough for them, if I’m honest.
“You’ve just got to sit him out and let him rest up. Make sure he’s right for the next game. The bigger picture is the rest of the season.”
Raphinha has started all seven on Leeds’ league games this season.
He featured as a substitute in Brazil’s two previous games during the current international break.
