Pundit 'wowed' by £1bn Man United reveal and claims 'Solskjaer has to deliver now'
Man United have backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to “a serious extent” and he will be sacked if silverware is not delivered this season.
That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the growing pressure on the 48-year-old at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils bolstered their squad with the signings of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane in the summer.
According to the CIES Football Observatory (4th October), Man United’s squad is now worth £1.03billion – the second most in world football.
Campbell said Solskjaer “has to make it work” with this group of players.
“Man United’s squad is loaded,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“The fact of the matter is, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been backed to a serious extent. I mean to bring in Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo, wow. He has got to deliver now.
“There is not going to be time for these players to settle in. There can be none of that.
“Man United came second last season and have added three difference makers to that squad. You have got to make it work if you are Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. It is that simple.
“Ole has been there a little while now and he has not got over the line with silverware. He has to win something this season and really it should be the league.
“There is a lot of pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. His job is on the line.”
