Pundit 'wowed' by Leeds United sensation Wilfried Gnonto - 'best you'll see all season'
Tam McManus has been blown away by what he’s seen from new Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto.
The former Hibernian striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, was left impressed with the striker’s late show against Bournemouth on Saturday (5 November).
Leeds pulled off an incredible comeback to beat Bournemouth 4-3 with a dramatic late winner.
Gnonto, 19, who made his way onto the pitch at half time, provided the assist for Crysencio Summerville’s last-gasp goal.
McManus was stunned by what he witnessed from the player who was only making his second senior appearance for the club.
“The boy who got the assist, he came on and he just looks like a little pocket rocket,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.

“Wow, what a performance from him. He looks like he has a real low centre of gravity and he looks absolutely tremendous.
“In terms of the goal as a whole, that’s the best you will see all season. This kid is an Italy international already and he can’t get a look in at Leeds? What has gone on there?
“With Bamford not firing then you would think this is another option. Leeds have so many talented young players now, they’re great to watch.
“This Gnonto just seems like the latest one and I can’t wait to see what he does next.”
Gnonto signed for Leeds United on transfer deadline day (1 September).
He was called up to the senior Italy side for September’s internationals and was afforded half an hour against England on 23 September before being given a start against Hungary on 26 September.
