Queens Park Rangers’ manager Ian Holloway has said that he expects his side will beat Leeds United when the two sides go head to head on Saturday.
The Whites travel to Loftus Road looking to get their play off hopes back on track after a dreadful run of form which saw them lose seven out of nine league matches.
However they have returned to form in recent weeks, with two wins, a draw and a defeat, which has left them loitering just outside of the top six, five points off Derby County in the last of the play off places.
QPR meanwhile find themselves 10 placed below Leeds in 18th, with 22 points on the board, but despite the gulf in league position, their boss is boldly predicting victory for his side in front of their home fans, where they have tasted defeat just twice this season.
He says that his side will be boosted by the return of centre back Nedum Onuoha, who was revealed to have made an incredible return from injury by the manager.
Holloway told QPR’s official website: “Leeds are a good team but I think we can win the game – so bring it on.
“Wherever Leeds are in the table at the moment is irrelevant. It’s about us putting our game on them and getting the points.
“Having the likes of Nedum back will be a big boost. It’s given the lads a lift already, and it’d be a massive boost if he’s involved this weekend.”
QPR come into the clash off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Preston North End, and will be missing Jamie Mackie and Alex Baptiste through suspension after the duo were sent off at Deepdale.
Leeds meanwhile drew 1-1 with Aston Villa in their last outing, with Thomas Christiansen hopeful that the majority of his squad will be available for the journey down to Loftus Road.
In other Leeds United news, the club have held talks over securing the future of this proven attacker.
