Ralf Rangnick told to 'be quiet' after 'nonsensical' Man United transfer reveal - Campbell
Kevin Campbell has told Ralf Rangnick to “be quiet” after the Man United interim manager listed signings the club could have made in January.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said “it’s nonsense” to suggest the Red Devils were capable of luring some of Europe’s most sought-after players in the New Year.
Speaking to Sky Sports (7 May), Rangnick claimed he alerted the United board to the potential signings of Luis Diaz, Dusan Vlahovic and Julian Alvarez in January.
Luis Diaz joined Liverpool from FC Porto and has hit the ground running at Anfield.
Julian Alvarez joined Man City from River Plate but will remain at the Argentinian side until the summer.
Dusan Vlahovic, who was targeted by Arsenal, joined Juventus from Fiorentina.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his reaction to Rangnick’s comments, Campbell said: “Listen, Ralf be quiet.
“Just be quiet. The likelihood of United signing all of the players he mentioned was next to none. What is the point in mentioning it?
“The squad United have got has world-class players. Get the best out of them. These are excuses as far as I am concerned.
“Don’t throw more money at it. You have already thrown enough money at it. There is a squad of world-class players there, coach them! Get them onside and coach them.
“All this about recommended signings is nonsense as far as I am concerned. People who said Rangnick is the guru – he isn’t. He is not. Maybe in Germany he is but definitely not in England. It is a different kettle of fish here.
“You have to win over the dressing room first. He has not won over anybody.”
