Rangers chairman Dave King issues this reminder to rival supporters

Dave King has reminded rival supporters that “no other club anywhere can match Rangers’ history and successes”.
The club’s chairman was speaking after the Gers had sold a record 43,000 season tickets for the following Scottish Premiership campaign.
Their Old Firm rivals, Celtic recently lifted the SPL title when they thrashed Hearts on April 2 to clinch their sixth consecutive league crown and 48th overall.
By contrast, their Glasgow neighbours have secured six more titles in their history, but they have had to work their way back up the leagues in recent years after financial issues.
Nonetheless, the club’s senior figure, King had this stern reminder to the Gers’ rivals after their recent season ticket sales.

“No other club anywhere can match Rangers’ history and successes,” King told the Rangers website.
“No other supporters could have endured the traumas that befell Rangers in recent years and remained so proud and dignified.”
It is highly likely that Rangers will finish third in the league this season after their promotion to the top tier under Mark Warburton.
The Englishmen has since left his post at the club and been replaced by Pedro Caixinha, who will be looking to overtake their dominant rivals next term.
Caixinha has won two and drawn two of his matches since taking over in March, including their 3-0 win against second-placed Aberdeen at the weekend.
The Gers will be looking to stop Celtic from winning the treble when the two meet in the Scottish Cup semi-final on April 23.
Brendan Rodgers side are unbeaten against their rivals this season, winning on three occasions, including a 5-1 thumping at Parkhead in September.
