Rangers are closing in on their sixth signing of the summer with HJK Helsinki striker Alfredo Morelos jetting in for a medical, according to a report.
The Express claimed on it’s website in the early hours of Monday morning that the 20-year-old forward would fly into Edinburgh “tomorrow” to undergo his fitness tests with the Ibrox giants.
It is detailed that the youngster will cost as much as £1million and that he has already agreed the terms of a three-year deal with the player now needing to pass a medical alongside being granted a work permit before he can be officially announced.
March appointment Pedro Caixinha has already been very busy this summer and if Morelos does join then he would follow Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Dalcio, Fabio Cardoso and Daniel Candeias through the Ibrox doors.
Morelos has been in fine form for Finish top-flight table toppers HJK Helsinki in their current campaign which runs through to October with an impressive 12 goals in 12 league matches.

He will now be hoping to bring a similar return with himself to Scotland with Rangers lacking an out and out goalscorer in the last campaign.
Football Insider verdict:
Rangers have brought in many unknown quantities this campaign. However, they are names which will bring excitement to the fan base after a disappointing season and Morelos is no different. The forward has boasted an incredible record in Finland’s highest division and at his age he will only get better. This could prove to be a massive deal for the Ibrox giants in the future and Morelos could be an unearthed gem for the club.
