Rangers head hunters consider five managers for job, one is top-flight miracle man - report
Rangers head hunters have a five-man list of who could be their next manager at Ibrox, according to a report.
The Telegraph claims that as well as Steven Gerrard, the Light Blues are considering a number of alternatives to succeed Graeme Murty in the Ibrox hotseat with it looking almost inevitable that the former Under-20s coach will not be in charge next term.
Murty was told he would remain in charge until the end of the campaign in December after the club failed in their pursuit of Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes when he snubbed the chance to succeed Pedro Caixinha.
It is now understood that Rangers directors have reached out to Gerrard’s representatives after it was widely reported that chairman Dave King had attended Liverpool’s Champions League win against Roma on Saturday.
However the Liverpool academy coach is not the only man who is being considered to become the next permanent Rangers manager with four more seemingly on the club’s shortlist.
Here, Football Insider lists who else is reportedly wanted by the Gers.
