Rangers’ Twitter fans want Mark Warburton to give Harry Forrester a start in their side’s Scottish Cup fifth round tie with Greenock Morton on Sunday.

The 26-year-old has not started for the Scottish giants since 30 November in a 2-0 defeat against Hearts.

He has mainly been used as a substitute since and the left-winger has still managed to rack up 24 appearances for Rangers in all competitions this campaign, scoring three and assisting two.

However, with the club’s poor form many are keen to find something that can help their club improve and supporters on social media have now called for Forrester to be handed a start against Morton on Sunday.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Forrester made the switch to Rangers in the 2016 winter window from Doncaster and played a key part in helping Warburton’s side win the league in the second half of the campaign.

The wideman played in 11 league fixtures for the Ibrox giants last season, bringing a return of four goals and one assist.

The current Rangers team are crying out for a player who can bring goals to the team and it is clear why fans have identified Forrester as a possible answer to the current poor spell.
