Kyle Lafferty is one of seven Norwich players that will leave Carrow Road at the end of the season – and the Rangers fans are mixed on Twitter about whether they should make a move for the attacker.

The Canaries announced on their official website that John Ruddy, Sebastien Basing, Steven Whittaker, Ryan Bennett, Youssouf Mulumbu, Michael Turner and Lafferty will leave in the summer when their contract expire.

Lafferty has fallen down the pecking order this season and made just 16 senior appearances, scoring only three goals in return.

The 29-year-old striker did play for Rangers during the earlier stages of his career and recently admitted he would like a move back to Ibrox.

The Gers fans have responded with mixed opinions on social media following the news that he will be available at the end of the season.

Lafferty enjoyed a solid spell during his time with Rangers between 2008-2012 and was an important player for them.

The Northern Ireland international made 134 appearances for the Light Blues and managed 36 goals in return.

Current Gers manager Pedro Caixinha is believed to be preparing for a busy summer overhaul and is disappointed with the current squad.

Veteran forward Kenny Miller is the club’s top scorer this season with 10 goals and the attacking area is certainly a position they will be looking to improve on.

In other Rangers transfer news, they are lining up a £400,000 bid for a Championship midfielder.
