Rangers fans have been left fuming after footage of Reo Hatate's challenge against Kilmarnock, for which he avoided a red card, was re-analysed.

Brendan Rodgers' side maintained their five-point lead over Rangers at the top of the SPFL after a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Callum McGregor and Nicolas Kuhn.

However, it was Hatate who grabbed the attention of rival fans after he avoided a red card after a lengthy VAR check for a high challenge.

Footage shared via Sky Sports on social media appeared to show the forward flying into a challenge at knee height - leaving supporters stunned.

In the replay, he was shown to have attempted to pull out of the challenge, but was unable to prevent his studs from landing on his opponent's knee.

However, referee Nick Walsh and VAR official Don Robertson felt a yellow card was the correct punishment after a review.

As a result of the foul warranting just a yellow, and Hatate avoiding a suspension, rival supporters have been left questioning the officials' competence.

Rangers fans explode at Nick Walsh after controversial Celtic footage emerges

Accusations of bias towards Celtic have now been compounded following yet another controversial decision in favour of the Parkhead club.

Now, many rival fans including Rangers supporters have taken to social media in reaction to the latest call, labelling Walsh "corrupt" and the decision "disgraceful".
