Rangers’ pursuit of Brighton winger Jamie Murphy has hit a snag – with the latest rumours suggesting it could become a loan deal – and Gers fans are furious with the club’s board over the way the deal is playing out.
Popular Gers podcast Heart and Hand added fuel to the fire by Tweeting that they had heard the deal would become a season-long loan with Rangers signing Murphy on a permanent deal in the summer.
Hearing Murphy deal is loan till end of season then perm.

Murphy is a boyhood Rangers fan and was pictured arriving in Glasgow on Thursday to undergo a medical with the Ibrox giants but as the Gers jetted out to Florida for a training camp earlier on Saturday there was still no confirmation that the deal had gone through.
Fans were furious with the Gers board over the way the move has been handled – with one saying it will make the Gers a “laughing stock.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
@RangersFC you’s expect us too keep supporting a club that is getting run by a joke board. Laughing stock if Murphy deal us now a loan JOKE. Expect us 2 keep buying season tickets 😡😡

The important thing to remember in this Jamie Murphy saga is he is desperate to play for us, I think that's one of the reasons even the loan will go through. I don't know if it's Brighton or Rangers fault that its hit a snag but at least he will be playing for us.

The Jamie Murphy saga now turning into a loan deal. Is completely embarrassing for rangers. When will people start questioning this board. Not fit for purpose

Whether an initial loan deal for Murphy is better for us (it probably is better) isn’t the issue.
It’s that this amateur bunch of incompetents that we sufferingly call a Board hadn’t finalised the deal with Brighton before he came for his medical.

Murphy is expected to become a Gers player – either on loan or permanently – within the next few days and jet to the United States to link up with his new team-mates.
The Light Blues will face Atletico Mineiro and Corinthians in the Flordia Cup before returning to domestic action on January 21st when they face Highland League minnows Fraserburgh.
