Kieran Maguire has 'wonderful' news for Rangers fans after confirmed seven-figure reveal
Rangers fans raised £4.5million as part of the club’s recent share issue – and they may see that cash returned with interest in the coming years.
So says finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Rangers confirmed the share allotment via Companies House on 30 August.
Rangers announced in an official statement two days earlier that they had attracted 5,000 new investors from 44 different countries.
The Scottish champions issued 17,850,000 shares at £0.25 to provide the club with a cash injection.
And Maguire claims that sustained success on the pitch could see investors reap the rewards.
“I think the fans will have a sense of pride,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.

“But you won’t get a regular income for those shares. It would take something fairly significant for those fans to be able to sell the shares at a higher price.
“Rangers would either have to be in the Champions League for two or three seasons, but that could happen.
“One of the good things from the collapse of Super League and the changes at the top of European football is that those two places which the Premier League hoped to pick up from having clubs with the highest 10-year coefficient can now be allocated on a more democratic basis.
“And Scotland now has two guaranteed Champions League places, and one of those goes straight into the group stage.
“If Rangers manage to establish themselves as the preeminent club for a few years, then there could be potential. For the investors, that would of course be wonderful.
