Mikey Moore has continued to impress at Rangers despite the Gers’ awful season to date.

Danny Rohl’s side managed to see out a nervy 1-0 win over Hibernian on Monday, in a performance that did little to impress the Ibrox faithful.

The Tottenham loanee had a difficult start at Ibrox, but his display against Hibs delighted many Gers fans.

Rangers fans label Mikey Moore man of the match after Hibernian display

Before the match, fans will have been relieved when reports suggested that Moore was set to stay at Ibrox until the end of the season, despite rumours of a potential Tottenham recall.

In recent weeks, the winger has been outstanding, with his goal against Kilmarnock earlier this month an obvious highlight.

Now, this form continued against Hibernian, with fans quick to take to X after the match to express their delight with the display.

Given the poor overall standard of the Rangers team at present, many fans wished that the Tottenham loanee was in a Gers squad more in line with his ability.

Danny Rohl explains why Moore was taken off vs Hibernian

Given how good Moore was against Hibernian, many fans will be puzzled as to why the youngster was taken off.

The manager elected to substitute the winger for Thelo Aasgaard after 69 minutes, despite the game being far from over when the Spurs loanee could have still made a big impact on the game.

However, Rohl was quick to explain after the match, that he feared another injury, with Moore previously being sidelined for Rangers a few weeks back.

He told This Is Ibrox - Your Rangers Podcast via X on 15 December: “He (Moore) was the free man for me today.

“He needed to be subbed out as we couldn’t afford another injury. I was worried about the young team and not having many leaders but they coped well.”

Therefore, hopefully this is a sign that Rohl is able to manage the busy festive schedule and multiple injuries will be avoided throughout this period.
