Rangers fans mock Celtic on Twitter after humiliation, Joey Barton issues a response

Celtic suffered one of the worst defeats in their history as they lost 1-0 a Champions League qualifier to minnows Red Imps – and Rangers fans on Twitter mocked their rivals for humiliating Scottish football.

It was Rodgers’ first game as Celtic boss and prompted criticism of the players and staff from red-faced Celtic supporters.

But, it was their rivals who enjoyed the moment, including Rangers player Joey Barton who tweeted laughing emojis soon after their shock defeat.

One Gers fans mocked their supporters for losing to a side with part-time jobs, while another envisaged an easy victory when the two giants meet later on this season.

Another Rangers supporter stated it is a great day for the club as Mark Warburton and David Weir signed new contracts, Celtic lost and Stan Collymore left TalkSport.

The loss will go down as one of the worst defeats in Celtic history with their rival fans stating the club showed no heart and that Rangers would have thumped the minnows.
