'Shambles', 'Sack Mark Allen' - Rangers fans rage as attacker seals last-gasp exit

By Danny Wright

Rangers fans have blasted their club after it was confirmed that Joe Dodoo had left for Charlton on a last-gasp short-term loan deal.

The Light Blues announced on their official Twitter account and official website in the eleventh hour of the summer transfer window that Dodoo, 22, had agreed terms with the English League One side to join them until January.

Pedro Caixinha seemingly has no place for Dodoo in his plans this season with the attack-minded winger failing to make a single appearance for the club since May when he featured in the 2-1 loss to Aberdeen.

After signing for the Gers from Leicester last summer, the wide-man has five goals and three assists in 25 matches across all competitions.

Rangers have had a very busy transfer window but got most of their business done early, with wingers Daniel Candeias and Dalcio coming in to force Dodoo down the Ibrox pecking order.

The Rangers supporters do not appear to be in the mood to wish Dodoo well on his move back to English football, with one fan calling on the club to sack director of football Mark Allen.
