'Could run riot' - Rangers fans react to speculation attacker deal will be done by 11pm
By Harry Sykes
Mark Warburton is targeting a last-gasp deal for Rangers forward Joe Dodoo – and Ibrox fans took to Twitter to urge the club to hang on to him.
GhanaSoccerNet claimed on deadline day that Dodoo, 22, is set to join Warburton’s Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan before Thursday’s 11pm deadline.
It is said that the former Leicester City striker has become disillusioned under new manager Pedro Caixinha due to his lack of game time.
But Rangers fans still have faith in the young striker, who made a reasonable impact during his debut season after being signed last summer when Warburton was at the Ibrox helm.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Joe Dodoo’s needing games, if Warburton wants to take him on loan and give him game time, and he does well; He comes back here.

I rate Dodoo… would like to see him get a long-run, also still young.

I genuinely think a front 2 of Morelos & Dodoo could run riot!

Don’t really understand why Joe Dodoo has been sidelined completely. Made an impact a few times last season.

I think Dodoo needs a run to secehat he’s like. He looked no bad last year for the little we seen of him.

Dodoo has failed to feature in any of Rangers’ seven league and cup outings this season, after plummeting down the pecking order following a busy summer of transfer activity.
Caixinha has brought in strikers Alfredo Morelos and Eduardo Herrera to lead the attack, while Daniel Candeias, Josh Windass and Niko Kranjcar have been the preferred wide options and Aaron Nemane was also signed last week on loan from Manchester City.
Dodoo is the second Rangers player tipped to join Forest this summer, after Warburton lured Gers academy product Barrie McKay to the City Ground earlier this summer.
In other Rangers transfer news, the club are working on a last-gasp summer signing of a proven Premier League player.
