'Thought we sacked Murty', 'Fantastic' - Rangers fans torn over starting XI v Kilmarnock

Rangers caretaker manager Jimmy Nicholl has made two changes to the starting XI which faced Celtic last weekend as the Gers look to get back on track with a win against Kilmarnock as David Bates and Alfredo Morelos return to the side.

Ross McCrorie and Josh Windass have come out of the side to make way for the returning pair – and Gers fans are split on if Nicholl has got it right.

The Ibrox side confirmed the side on their official Twitter account as they take part in their first fixture since the appointment of Steven Gerrard as manager from June 1st was confirmed.

The Ibrox giants can’t afford anything other than a win against Steve Clarke’s side in the race for second in the Scottish Premiership and Gers fans are happy to see Morelos and Cummings given the nod together but are less than impressed to see Russell Martin continue in defence.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

The Gers closest rivals in the Scottish Premiership – Aberdeen and Hibernian – face each other at the same time meaning a win for the Light Blues against Steve Clarke’s side would be huge for the Ibrox giants.

With the Gers in action at Ibrox for the last time this season, as well as new manager Steven Gerrard no doubt keeping a close eye on things, the Light Blues will be desperate to go out with a win.
