'Unbelievable' - Rangers fans react on Twitter as Johansson arrives at Ibrox
By Danny Wright
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the club’s announcement that Jonatan Johansson has become Pedro Caixinha’s No 3.
The Light Blues confirmed in a statement on their official website that Johansson will become the new assistant coach at Ibrox – however a lot of supporters admitted that he wouldn’t have been their first choice to take the role.
Barry Ferguson, Peter Lovenkrands and Alex Rae were also touted to become a part of Caixinha’s backroom staff, but the 41-year-old ex-Finland international is the man that Caixinha has pinpointed to help him take the club forward.
The Portuguese manager, who was put in charge of the Glasgow club in March, is looking to make an overhaul of the club’s coaching staff and the move for Johansson was the first part of his strategy.
A huge summer lies ahead for Caixinha and Rangers as they look to narrow down the gap between themselves and Old Firm rivals Celtic.
