'Beyond delusional', 'All the best at Vitesse' - Rangers fans react after Gilmour agrees Chelsea move
By Danny Wright
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to blast Billy Gilmour after his long-awaited move to Premier League giants Chelsea was confirmed on Tuesday.
The Light Blues announced the transfer in a statement on their official website, where they also admitted that they would have liked to have kept hold of the player.
According to Sky Sports the 15-year-old has moved to Chelsea for a fee worth £500,000, despite having earned interest from other English top-flight teams and some of Europe’s larger clubs.
However not many Rangers fans are happy for the promising teenager, who is one of the brightest talents developed by the club’s academy in years.
Most have told Gilmour to get ready for a loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem, due to the number of players Chelsea send to the Dutch club in a bid for first-team football, and have also labelled the Scot as ‘delusional’.

Gilmour has never made a senior appearance for the Light Blues but has taken part in first-team training at Auchenhowie.
The midfielder has earned one cap for the Scotland Under-17 side and is usually dubbed as one of the future stars of Scottish football.
However fans do not think that potential will be reached at Chelsea. who have a habit of signing young players from other clubs only to ship them out on loan elsewhere.
At the moment, the London club has 37 players out on loan at clubs dotted around the UK and Europe.
They include big-money names like Loic Remy, Juan Cuadrado and Marco Van Ginkel.
