Rangers fans react on Twitter to Toral display v RB Leipzig
By Harvey Byrne
Jon Toral made his first start for Rangers in their friendly against RasenBallsport Leipzig on Sunday afternoon, and Gers supporters were impressed with what they saw.
The 21-year-old made the loan switch to Ibrox in midweek from Premier League giants Arsenal after having his loan cut short with La Liga side Granada.
He only had to wait three days before making his first non-competitive appearance for the club and he played 45 minutes in Germany before coming off for fellow loan signing Emerson Hyndman at half time.
The famous Scottish side ended up suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat against the second placed Bundesliga outfit.
However, many Rangers supporters on social media felt that Toral was one of the few positives to take from the match.

On a positive note: Toral and McKay impressed me.
Toral will be the best technical player in Scotland.

McKay played well, final ball wasn't the best, but RBL were doubling up on him but still never a RWB. Toral looks promising.

Friendly or not, proves we need some serious investment if we're going to play in Europe next season. Toral looks quality but ????????

Toral has linked up with Gers boss Mark Warburton for the second time in his career after previously starring under him while on loan with Brentford.
The player has been brought in with summer midfield signings Matt Crooks, Joey Barton, Jordan Rossiter and Niko Kranjcar failing to have an impact on the team for various reasons.
He will now be hoping to play a role in helping Rangers claim second place, which will see them qualify for the Europa League next season.
In other Rangers news, Warburton has revealed talks with the club’s board are ongoing for these two players.
