'Literally zero respect', 'Delete that tweet' – Rangers fans rip into Murty message to Celtic

Graeme Murty paid respect to rivals Celtic in his pre-match press conference and Rangers fans are not happy with their manager.

Talking to the press ahead of the huge Old Firm game, Murty said, “While we respect Celtic and what they do, we have to maximise our attacking threat.”

His words were quoted on the official Rangers Twitter page on Friday lunchtime.

Both sets of fans are approaching fever pitch ahead of the most finely balanced Old Firm games in years.

Rangers have been sat in Celtic’s shadow for years now but there’s a growing feeling among fans and pundits that Murty’s men could have a real chance on Sunday.

Murty was doing his job as manager but he needs to be careful with his words, because Rangers fans don’t have respect for their rivals and they poured onto Twitter to let Murty know in no uncertain terms.
