Rangers fans urge Murty to hand 21-year-old first team chance

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers fans have urged caretaker boss Graeme Murty to hand young attacker Joe Dodoo a place in the first team.

The Scottish giants are currently struggling in the Premiership with three losses and one draw from their last four league matches.

Additionally, they have struggled for goals in those fixtures with just four goals coming from those four encounters.

But, Rangers fans believe that 21-year-old striker Dodoo may help the team overcome their current woes.

A number of supporters have shared that the summer signing can’t be any worse than those currently in the team.

Meanwhile, one recalled how he came off the bench against Partick Thistle in November to bag two vital goals in a 2-1 victory.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Dodoo has not featured for Rangers since the 2-1 New Years eve defeat against fierce rivals Celtic.

He has also started just one league match since joining from Leicester in the summer, coming in a 2-0 defeat against Hearts.

The young talent has returned four goals and two assists in 16 appearances in all competitions and it is clear that Rangers fans want to see more of the player with St. Johnstone coming up next on Wednesday evening.
