Rangers are working on multiple new signings after completing the permanent transfer of Hamza Igamane, sources have told Football Insider

The Moroccan forward became the Scottish giants’ seventh summer signing following the announcement of his arrival on 5 July.

There is now expected to be another blizzard of incomings at Ibrox as Philippe Clement looks to continue strengthening his squad for next season.

Rangers are in talks over multiple deals, with the number one priority being the capture of a marquee striker, who is capable of scoring 30 goals a season.

James Tavernier was the club’s top goalscorer last season after registering 24 times as his side missed out on the Scottish Premiership title to Celtic.

Rangers plan marquee striker signing after Hamza Igamane deal

Igamane became Rangers’ seventh signing after Jefte, Clinton Nsiala, Mohamed Diomonde, Connor Barron and Liam Kelly have all signed permanent deals, while Oscar Cortes’s loan was extended for a further year.

Clement has made no secret of his desire to revamp the squad in his first summer window at Ibrox after arriving in Glasgow last October.

The Belgian manager has allowed a number of senior players to leave the club, with Kemar Roofe, John Lundstram, Jon McLaughlin, Borna Barisic and Ryan Jack all departing following the expiration of their contracts.

Clement is now looking to bring a 30-goal-a-season striker through the door after signing Igamane from Moroccan first division side AS FAR.

The forward scored seven goals and laid on six assists in 23 appearances last season, helping his side finish in second place before making his switch to Ibrox.
