Rangers installed second favourites to sign Will Grigg

By Richard Parks
Rangers have been installed second favourites to sign Wigan Athletic striker Will Gigg, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
Sky Bet priced the Glasgow giants at 16/1 on Wednesday morning to land the forward, 26, during the summer transfer window.
English Championship outfit Brentford (14/1) are the favourites to land Grigg, ahead of Rangers and Bristol City (both 16/1), as well as Cardiff City (18/1), Nottingham Forest and Hull City (both 20/1).
Rangers could be in the market for a new striker in the summer depending on whether they are able to hang on to 17-goal top scorer Alfredo Morelos and whether they convert loanee Jason Cummings’ deal into a permanent transfer.
Grigg has scored 16 goals in 37 matches for Wigan this season and been the driving force behind their FA Cup run, scoring the winner that knocked Manchester City out of the competition.
In 116 matches for the League One outfit, Northern Ireland international Grigg has scored 51 goals.
In other Rangers transfer news, a club Insider has responded to speculation that a key first teamer has gone AWOL from training.
