Any of the three teams who are promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season may look to sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.

That is according to ex-Premier League goalscorer Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the 24-year-old made comments which suggest that his time at Ibrox is reaching its crescendo.

He told Colombian radio network Caracol: “One of my big dreams is to play in the English Premier League.

“If the opportunity presents itself in my career, I am going to take it. It’s a style of football very similar to Scottish football and I would enjoy it.”

As well as 12 assists in all competitions this season, Morelos has scored 15 goals for the anointed Scottish Champions.

Campbell pointed out Morelos’ goalscoring prowess and claimed his experience of playing for a big club like Rangers will endear him to Premier League suitors.

“I think there will be quite a few clubs looking at him,” he told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.

“His disciplinary record leaves a lot to be desired but he knows where the goal is and he’s played for a big club up there.

“If he wants to go to the Premier League then I’m sure teams who are coming up from the Championship will be particularly interested in him.

“They could do with a striker who knows how to score goals. So I think his options will be open big-time.”

Rangers signed Morelos from Finnish side HJK Helsinki in June 2017.

The striker has gone on to score 92 goals for the club.
