Rangers have offered Ryan Jack a new deal that will catapult him into the top bracket of earners at the club, Football Insider has learned.

The central midfielder, 27, has established himself as one of the key players in Steven Gerrard's side after taking his game to a new level over the last 12 months.

Ibrox sources told Football Insider that the club have offered a deal worth £20,000-a-week, with talks underway on tying him to the club beyond his current agreement.

Jack signed his most recent contract, which runs until the summer of 2021, in December of last year.

But Rangers have showed in the last two years they are willing to reward their star players with regular new deals and pay hikes to keep them at the club.

Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier are among those who have benefitted from this policy and now Jack is closing in on a fresh agreement.

He is firmly established as a first choice in Gerrard's midfield, making 14 appearances already this season, all of them starts.

In total, he has played 80 matches for the club since signing in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer from Aberdeen.
