By Aramide Oladipo
Football Insider rates the Rangers players following their performance in the 2-1 victory over Hearts in the early Saturday afternoon kick-off.
Wes Foderingham 6 – He produced a comfortable save in the first half and he dealt with everything that came his way pretty well. The keeper was left completely exposed by his defenders for the Hearts goal.
James Tavernier 6 – One of Rangers’ best attacking threats in the first half linking up very well with Kenny Miller. Performance took a severe dip in the second half and he missed a great chance to score.
David Bates 5 – He needed the help of his central defensive partner especially in the second half.
Clint Hill 8 – Easily the best defender wearing a blue shirt today as he dealt with everything including important clearing headers and great interceptions.

Lee Hodson 6 – Didn’t really offer too much as an attacking threat on the left hand side as much as Tavernier did on the other side. Hearts also enjoyed a lot of their attacks down his side.
Jason Holt 6 – He failed to take control of the midfield especially after Hearts went down to 10 men. He left his defence a bit exposed especially after the break.
Jon Toral 5 – He didn’t look comfortable with the ball at his feet on numerous occasions and often needlessly conceded possession.
Kenny Miller 8 – He produced an outstanding cross for the first goal and he was a serious threat especially in the first period. His influence dipped in the second half along with the rest of his teammates.
Josh Windass 6 – He was at fault for the Hearts goal as he attempted a dummy instead of taking the shot on. He was hooked off immediately after the Hearts equaliser.
Barrie McKay 8 – He barely put a foot wrong during the entire 90 minutes and he capped off a sublime performance with a sweet strike in the second half following a terrible mistake from the Hearts goalkeeper.
Joe Garner 7 – He set Rangers on their way as he found himself on the end of a delightful Kenny Miller cross.
Joseph Dodoo 7 (for Josh Windass 52) – He was very lively when he first came on but he failed to make much of an impact as the game wore on.
Jamie Barjonas 6 (for Jason Holt 67) – Didn’t have much of an impact on the game.
Martyn Waghorn 6 (for Jon Toral 73) – Missed a great opportunity to wrap the game up in a one on one situation in stoppage time.
In other Rangers news, Barry Ferguson has fired this warning at Caixinha.
