Rangers player ratings v Ross County: Midfielder 1/10 after woeful showing

COMMENT

Rangers took on Ross County in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday and needed a late goal to take the three points in a 2-1 win and record their first run of three consecutive wins in almost a year.

After a tumultuous few days at Ibrox, the Gers fans were on edge ahead of facing Owen Coyle’s side.

Interim boss Graeme Murty returned to the dugout after the failed approach for Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes in midweek.

County broke the deadlock through Craig Curran’s header in the ninth minute to silence Ibrox and give Owen Coyle’s side a surprise lead.

Rangers didn’t do too much wrong in the first-half but were unable to draw level before the break as County hung on to their lead.

The Light Blues continued to press Ross County in the second-half and finally got their reward after an hour when substitute Alfredo Morelos got on the end of Daniel Candeias’ cross to equalise.

With only seven minutes left, Danny Wilson scored his second goal in two games after poking home a James Tavernier free-kick.

It wasn’t a fantastic performance from the Gers but is enough to take them back above Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership table on goal difference.
