Rangers are investigating a potential breach of Covid-19 protocols by some of their players, Football Insider understands.
Senior club chiefs have been alerted to an incident in Glasgow on Saturday night that was reported to police.
Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that chairman Douglas Park is aware and so are many of the senior players.
The apparent incident was the talk of Rangers WhatsApp groups today, multiple player sources have told this site.
Football Insider has contacted Police Scotland and they are yet to officially confirm an incident taking place.
This comes after two Rangers stars were caught by police breaching lockdown rules last autumn.
Jordan Jones and George Edmundson were handed fixed penalty fines by police and seven-match suspensions by the Scottish FA for Covid 19-related breaches.
The pair attended a party after Rangers’ 1-0 Scottish Premiership win against Kilmarnock on 1 November.
Winger Jones and defender Edmundson were then frozen out of the team by Steven Gerrard before being loaned out in January for the rest of the season.
Jones joined League One club Sunderland and Edmundson headed to Derby County in the Championship.
There have been other serious breaches of the rules in Scotland this season.
Back in August, Celtic full-back Boli Bolingoli was banned for three matches, with a further two suspended, for travelling to Spain without notifying the club before returning to play against Kilmarnock without quarantining.
Similarly, eight members of the Aberdeen squad were given a suspended three-game suspension for breaching lockdown rules by visiting a bar.
Aberdeen and Celtic were fined £30,000 for the conduct of their respective players.
