Rangers close to finalising multi-million pound deal - report
By Richard Parks
Rangers are close to finalising a multi-million pound shirt sponsorship deal, according to a report.
The Four Lads Had a Dream blog, which is a reliable source of Gers news, claim that the Glasgow giants are in advanced talks to secure a kit sponsor.
It is said that the Rangers board are “working hard” on a big-money deal and will imminently be in a position to make an announcement.
Rangers announced last summer that they had agreed a new two-year shirt sponsorship deal with 32Red to cover the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.
The online casino company have been official shirt sponsor of the Ibrox club since July 2014.

Football Insider verdict:
Given that the deal with 32Red still another year to run, it is assumed that Rangers will have to pay a penalty clause to the casino company if they are secure a replacement deal. The word from the ever-reliable Four Lads Had a Dream is that the imminent shirt sponsorship agreement will be an even more lucrative one, and that talks to tie it up are at an advanced stage. If that is the case, supporters will be delighted, as the club is crying out for revenues to be hiked in order for it to compete properly with Celtic, who are closing in on a seventh consecutive league title.
In other Rangers news, the club’s board “have been on their knees begging” 70-yr-old to take over as manager.
