Rangers will listen to offers for four star first teamers during this summer’s transfer window, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun claim the Light Blues are ready to consider bids for leading quartet James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos, Josh Windass and Wes Foderingham.
The players were all mainstays of the team in 2017-18 and would all be able to fetch significant fees in the forthcoming windows.
Football Insider verdict:
It would represent a shock firesale were each of Tavernier, Morelos, Windass and Foderingham to be sold in the same window. It would certainly raise considerable funds for new boss Steven Gerrard, possibly around £4million apiece from Tavernier and Windass, and maybe double that for Morelos, but would also prompt serious questions about the upcoming overhaul. Foderingham had a mixed end to the season but has been one of Rangers’ most consistent performers in recent seasons, while the other three were arguably the club’s outstanding players in 2017-18. Morelos and Windass are both raw but have huge potential, while Tavernier is already good enough to walk into a few Premier League teams. Certainly, all four would expect to find a club in the English top flight, or the top half of the Championship. Rangers’ top brass were smart enough to secure the quartet to new contracts in the last 12 months, but there will be concern among fans that the club are planning to cash in on their best players.
