Agbonlahor: Gilmour may be keen on Rangers move amid Ibrox reveal
Rangers should make a loan swoop for Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward insisted the 20-year-old would get more game time at Ibrox than staying with the Blues.
The Sun reported on 8 June Gilmour is considering a loan move and Ibrox sources have told Football Insider there will be interest from Rangers.
The Scotland international began his career at the Glasgow giants before moving to Chelsea just before his 17th birthday.
Gilmour has played 22 times for the Blues, including 11 appearances last season but is yet to nail down a regular starting place.
He was also included in Thomas Tuchel’s matchday squad for the Champions League final triumph over Manchester City.

Asked whether a move to Ibrox would be a good next step for the centre-midfielder, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Yes, I think it would be.
“He’d probably get a lot more game time there. I’m sure if it can be done, he’ll want to get it done.
“He’s a lifelong Rangers fan, he was there as a kid. As much as he loves it at Chelsea, I just don’t see him getting game time there. It probably makes sense for him to try and move out on loan.”
Gilmour is currently away on international duty with Scotland as they compete in their first major tournament in 23 years.
He was an unused substitute in their first game – a 2-0 defeat to Czech Republic at Hampden Park.
