Rangers star Ianis Hagi is content to stay at the club despite his lack of first-team action, sources have told Football Insider.

The Scottish window closed on 30 August but clubs in Turkey, Romania, Belgium and elsewhere are still able to swoop for the attacking midfielder.

It is believed Turkish clubs have examined Hagi's situation ahead of a potential swoop ahead of their 13 September deadline.

But he is open to staying at Ibrox for at least the first half of the 2024-25 campaign.

Sources say his salary is well in excess of £20,000-a-week and is in line to increase further if he makes his 100th Rangers appearance.

He has been banished to the B team by Philippe Clement as a result.

That treatment comes despite him playing a key role in Rangers' last Scottish Premiership triumph in the 2020-21 campaign.

Hagi has notched 16 goals and 21 assists since joining Rangers from KRC Genk in 2020 and spent last season out on loan with La Liga side Alaves.

His contract at Ibrox runs until May 2026.
