Rangers TV pundit makes 'massive' claim as 'incredible' Ibrox footage goes viral

Alan Hutton has heralded the “massive character” shown by the Rangers players following last week’s 3-1 win over RB Leipzig.

The former Gers star, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted the “incredible” atmosphere was “one of the best” he has every experienced.

In footage posted to Twitter by Sunset and Vine executive producer Grant Phillips (5 May), the Ibrox broadcast gantry can be seen shaking due to the full-time celebrations in the stands.

The footage has gone viral on social media, with over one million views on the original video.

Hutton, who was in the stands for the Europa League tie, was blown away by what he saw.

He heralded the players for managing the occasion and the immense pressure on their shoulders.

“First and foremost, you have to show a massive amount of character,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.

“To be 1-0 down, you have that pressure on your shoulders going into such a huge game. You know the league’s pretty much over. That is your route into the Champions League so the pressure must have been building.

“The atmosphere in the stadium was incredible. I’ve never experienced that. It’s up there with one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever experienced as a player or a fan. That’s no word of a lie, that’s the truth of the matter.

“To be able to deal with that, put on a performance and get the result needed shows you exactly what these guys are all about at this moment.”

Rangers will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final in Seville.

The German outfit beat West Ham 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals.

In other news, Hutton cannot believe what he has spotted from Rangers teenager.
