Findlay Curtis will not be leaving Rangers on loan in the summer as he continues to impress during a short-term spell at Kilmarnock.

Curtis scored his second goal for Killie in their 2-0 win over Livingston on Saturday as they recorded successive league victories for the first time since September.

He has been a revelation since joining on loan from Rangers in January, and was a surprise inclusion in Steve Clarke’s latest Scotland squad for their upcoming friendlies against Japan and the Ivory Coast.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Danny Rohl plans to include the 19-year-old in his first-team squad next season.

He is also not expected to be involved in Rangers’ transfer dealings this summer, with his fine loan form serving as a significant boost to their plans to spend on other positions.

Findlay Curtis will return to Rangers to prove his worth to Danny Rohl

Rangers remain in the Premiership title race with eight games left to play, but some have questioned the decision to loan Curtis out with the stakes being so high.

He does look to be benefitting from regular game time at Rugby Park, after starting six consecutive matches, and has played himself into Rohl's thoughts for next term.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "(Curtis) has won this call-up to the Scotland squad, which is great news for him and also good for Rangers in that respect.

"I think the long-term plan is for Curtis to go back to Ibrox in the summer and fight for his place in Danny Rohl's plans next season.

"It was a case of Rangers just sending him out on loan so he could get regular first-team games and gain more experience, ready to come back next season and really challenge for a place in that starting XI."

Rangers are targeting Motherwell star Elijah Just

Rangers know they need to add to their attacking depth this season as they look to turn some of their 12 Premiership draws so far into wins next term.

Curtis is set to return to the fold, and he could be joined by Motherwell star Just as he impresses for the fourth-placed side in his debut campaign in Scotland.

Football Insider have revealed that Rangers and Celtic are interested in Just ahead of the summer window.

He has registered seven goals and six assists in 28 league games so far in 2025-26, and Motherwell look set to lose some of their key men this summer after such a strong campaign.
