Ivor Pandur is wasting no time in repaying the £6million that Rangers paid to sign him from Hull City in the summer.

The Gers' new starting goalkeeper has quickly become an integral part of Derek McInnes' side, and he is one of the main reasons why they have started to hit form in the Scottish Premiership.

The Ibrox outfit made it six wins in a row in league action at the weekend, as Pandur made four saves to help his team to a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock on home turf.

Prior to that victory, he had kept clean sheets in four successive games in all competitions, as the 26-year-old has truly started to prove his worth at his new club already.

Rangers have had issues with the consistency of their goalkeepers in recent years, with Jack Butland regularly facing scrutiny for his displays throughout last season.

Howerver, they have had no such issues with Pandur so far this term, and his assured presence between the posts is having a positive impact on the rest of the group.

Ivor Pandur tops Premiership stat charts

Pandur was one of Rangers' most expensive summer buys at £6m, but he is already unquestionably one of the best goalkeepers in the Premiership.

His tally of four league clean sheets stands him right at the top of the pile across the league in the early stages of the season.

His 78.3 per cent save percentage also ranks him in the top three 'keepers in that department, while he is also the joint-lowest for goals conceded per 90 at just 0.6.

Pandur ranks low when it comes to saves per 90 and goals prevented, but that is to be expected for a Rangers goalkeeper, when his team will hope to dominate most of their games.

However, McInnes and Co. need him to reliable when called upon, and he has undoubtedly proven himself to be that and so much more so far.

Now that Rangers have a commanding and impressive shot-stopper at the base of their team, it could provide the final piece of the puzzle to help them truly push for the league title.

Sources: Rangers to revisit Casper Widell deal as as door 'open' for move

Rangers to bolster defence even further

Rangers' defence has already impressed in the early stages of the campaign, but they are ready to bolster their backline once again in January.

Football Insider revealed last week that they are prepared to revisit a move for Excelsior centre-back Casper Widell this winter, with the player still open to moving to Ibrox.

Pandur is already forming an excellent understanding with the centre-back pairing of Olwethu Makhanya and Emmanuel Fernandez, and another option could soon be coming through the door.

Widell missed just six minutes of football in the Eredivisie across the whole of last season, and is out of contract next summer.
