Minsu Kim’s stance on Rangers transfer revealed
Minsu Kim is content with his start to life as a Rangers player and has no plans to leave the club this season, sources have told Football Insider.
The 20-year-old has impressed at Ibrox since joining the club for £8.5million from Girona in the summer.
He is yet to contribute to a goal in eight appearances, but is among the best-performing Premiership wingers for the majority of important metrics.
Some concerns have been shared among Rangers fans online that he could attract interest as soon as January, thus sealing a move elsewhere.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, the South Korean international is happy with his progress at Rangers so far and will not be looking to leave at the first opportunity.
He is bound for a bright future in the game, and Ibrox looks like the ideal place for him to continue developing while also competing for silverware with big expectations.
Minsu Kim has no Rangers exit plans despite strong start
Kim has become an instant hit among Gers supporters, and the club are yet to lose a competitive game since he arrived.
He looks to have nailed down a regular starting spot in Derek McInnes' side already, but just needs to add more goals and assists to his game in the coming months.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "As things stand right now, Rangers are happy with Minsu Kim's impact, and the player is happy with his move as he continues to impress. I don't see any plans for any quick turnaround or any potential exit for the player either.
"I think Rangers are planning for Minsu Kim to continue having that impact that he's having for Derek McInnes’ side in the long term."
Rangers starlet at centre of three-way international allegiance battle
Moving into the academy, teenage Rangers gem Michael Ihmig faces a huge decision that could impact the rest of his footballing career.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Scotland, Northern Ireland and South Africa are each battling to convince Ihmig to represent their nation at youth level and beyond, as it stands.
The 15-year-old, who joined the Gers from arch-rivals Celtic in the summer, has featured for all three countries in recent years.
He is regarded as a huge up-and-coming talent in Scottish footballing circles and could end up being star for Rangers and the nation he picks when he steps up to senior football.
