Djeidi Gassama faces a race against time to secure a move away from Rangers ahead of the transfer deadline, sources have told Football Insider.

The transfer window in both Serie A and Ligue 1 closes on 1 September, meaning that by Wednesday, a move to Salzburg would likely be the only option for Gassama.

Key Rangers figure won't be seen at Ibrox

Former Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider on Monday that Jed York's "face won't be seen for quite some time" at Ibrox after his recent arrest in Ohio.

The Rangers co-owner was arrested as part of a prostitution bust, and spent two days in prison after being charged with disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.

Wyness believes that York will take a step back at Ibrox as a result, and feels that Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe will come to the fore even more.
