Nicolas Raskin 'happy' to stay at Rangers in new twist
Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin is keen to stay at the club to help them towards the Scottish Premiership title this season, sources have told Football Insider.
The Gers are adamant that they don't want to lose the Belgium international in the middle of the campaign, but will strongly consider a sale next summer.
The 25-year-old is understood to be "happy" to see out the remainder of the season at Ibrox, provided that the club can make a genuine challenge for the league title.
Sources say that Rangers currently view next summer as the best time to cash in on Raskin, with his current contract due to expire in the summer of 2028.
January is unlikely to bring an end to this time with the Glasgow giants, and there are doubts as to whether any of the interested clubs have the finances to facilitate a mid-season move.
Raskin notched 16 goal involvements for Rangers in all competitions last term, and is sure to remain a hugely influential figure for Derek McInnes moving forward.

Raskin has been heavily linked with a move away from Rangers on multiple occasions in the last few years, but his exit is yet to come to fruition.
The former Standard Liege man is seen as a player capable of playing in Europe's top five leagues, but that move is still eluding him.
Raskin recently admitted that he had been ready to leave Rangers this summer, but there have been no signs of him letting that affect his performances so far.
The midfielder is prepared to make one final push alongside his teammates to try and return the title to Ibrox this season, before he looks to leave the club.
Rangers have effectively delayed the inevitable when it comes to Raskin's long-term future, as there is very little chance of him signing a new contract.
Rangers 'evaluating' Connor Barron recall
Football Insider revealed last weekend that Rangers will "evaluate" the possibility of recalling midfielder Connor Barron ahead of the January window.
The Scotland international was loaned out to Middlesbrough in the final stages of the summer window, but is yet to make an appearance for his loan club.
Sources say that Rangers are prepared to recall him to Ibrox in January if that situation doesn't improve, although they would then look to loan him out once again.
Barron is also out of contract in 2028, and unless there is a drastic change in McInnes' thinking, then he has a limited long-term future with the club.
