Rangers target Oskar Fallenius has been told that he can leave Djurgarden if the right offer comes in.

The Gers had reportedly reignited their interest in the winger this summer as they search for a replacement for Mikey Moore.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of 2026, which has put the Swedish club in a difficult position.

Boss Jani Honkavaara has now conceded that Fallenius can leave the club for a suitable fee, boosting Rangers’ transfer ambitions.

The winger has made six appearances for Djurgarden this season and has found the back of the net once.

As it stands, the club sit eighth in the table, after just nine games played. With the World Cup now halting the season, Fallenius has now potentially played his final game for Fallenius amid the ongoing interest from Rangers.

Oskar Fallenius could be a bargain Rangers signing

Fallenius’ contract situation offers an opportunity to Rangers.

It is clear that Djurgarden want to get some type of fee for the winger before his deal expires at the end of 2026.

While Honkavaara admitted that a suitable fee will be needed for the club to depart with the star, the situation could help Rangers secure a price-cut deal.

This could put Rangers in a low risk high reward situation when attempting to sign Fallenius, with the fee demanded unlikely to be high from the Swedish club.

When asked about Fallenius’ future by Expressen, Honkavaara seemed to have already conceded that his departure is likely.

He said: "Quite a few will leave, and it can happen very quickly for a suitable fee. It cannot be helped."

Who else are Rangers linked to?

Rangers are also looking to reinforce their backline this summer, and have been heavily linked to Dundee’s Luke Graham.

The 22-year-old centre-back was a standout player for Dundee this campaign and helped keep the club in the division.

Little movement has been reported in recent weeks, which could indicate that the Gers have moved on to other targets.

However, given Rangers’ desire to sign players that are Scottish-based, there is every chance something will happen over the coming months.

So far, Danny Rohl has only brought in one player since the season came to a close, with Lawrence Shankland making the move from Hearts to Ibrox.
