Everton have continued their summer rebuild with the signing of Tyler Dibling from Southampton.

The 19-year-old winger is a raw talent, but has bags of potential, and was one of the Toffees' major targets throughout this summer.

Everton have paid a handsome £40million for Dibling (BBC), which is a big gamble on a teenager who registered just three goals and four assists in all competitions last season.

It also makes him their third-most expensive player of all time, but who sits around Dibling in that list?

5 - Amadou Onana

  • Signed from: Lille
  • Fee: £33m

Everton fought off West Ham to complete the £33m signing of Amadou Onana in the summer of 2022, with the Belgian coming in ahead of the likes of Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford on the club's all-time spending list.

Onana only stayed with the Toffees for two years, providing plenty of quality in possession across his 72 appearances, before making the Merseysiders a tidy profit with his £50m move to Aston Villa (BBC), where he's enjoyed Champions League football.

4 - Alex Iwobi

  • Signed from: Arsenal
  • Fee: £34m

Everton pushed hard to sign Wilfried Zaha in the summer of 2019, but after failing to find an agreement with Palace, moved on Alex Iwobi for £34m (BBC).

Iwobi was signed by Marco Silva -- with the two reunited now at Fulham -- but played under five other managers during a turbulent spell at Goodison Park, including Carlo Ancelotti and Frank Lampard.

The Nigeria international always gave absolutely everything for the Toffees and left the club with nine goals and 17 assists to his name in 140 appearances.

3 - Tyler Dibling

  • Signed from: Southampton
  • Fee: £40m

Only Everton's third £40m+ player of all time and their first since moving to Hill Dickinson Stadium, time will tell whether or not Dibling will be a success at his new club.

In David Moyes, he has a manager with a great record of improving young players, and can learn under the best in Jack Grealish -- who is clearly an inspiration if their sock game is anything to go by.

2 - Gylfi Sigurdsson

  • Signed from: Swansea
  • Fee: £45m

Everton broke their transfer record to land Gylfi Sigurdsson for £45m in 2017 (BBC).

The Iceland international went on to register 31 goals and 25 assists in 156 games for the Toffees before his contract expired in 2022.

Sigurdsson is still playing, representing Vikingur Reykjavik in his homeland.

1 - Richarlison

Richarlison is still popular among Evertonians
  • Signed from: Watford
  • Fee: £50m

As the song goes -- or went -- 'he only cost £50m'.

Many poured scorn over Everton when they paid that much for Richarlison in 2018, after just one season and five goals in English football for Watford.

However, he more than proved the doubters wrong.

The Brazil international hit 53 goals and 15 assists in 152 appearances for the Toffees before leaving for Spurs three years ago, while his superhuman efforts toward the end of the 2021/22 season were key in keeping Everton up.

Richarlison remains a hugely popular figure among Evertonians.
