Raphinha wants to quit Leeds after 'investment' latest - pundit
Raphinha will not want to stay at Leeds United if he continues to shine for Brazil, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Raphinha should be playing in the Champions League.
The winger made his Brazil debut off the bench against Venezuela last week (October 8) and provided two assists in his side’s 3-1 comeback win.
He earned a second cap when he played the final hour of Sunday’s (October 10) 0-0 draw with Colombia.
Asked whether Leeds can keep hold of Raphinha in the long-term, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think it’s going to be very hard.
“Leeds need more investment in their squad, they need to start buying players that can keep them fighting even further up the table.

“Over the next year, year and a half, people like Raphinha will leave, his head will get turned by other clubs.
“Raphinha is getting into Brazil squads, he’s playing for Brazil now. He’s not going to want to play for Leeds, he’s going to want to move and play for a bigger club that’s playing in the Champions League. Someone of Raphinha’s quality should be playing in the Champions League.
“It’s just the reality of football. If Leeds can’t invest and get a better squad that’s challenging to get into Europe he will want to leave. That’s just normal.”
Raphinha moved to Elland Road on deadline day last October from Rennes for a £17million fee.
He has now scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 37 Premier League games for the Yorkshire giants.
