Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund has reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo's celebrations after Portugal beat Spain in the UEFA Nations League final.

Roberto Martinez's men played out a 2-2 draw with Luis de la Fuente's side in Munich on Sunday, 8 June, before winning 5-3 on penalties.

Spain established a 2-1 lead through Arsenal transfer target Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Oyarzabal before Ronaldo equalised.

Ronaldo's international team are next in action when they face Armenia in September's World Cup qualifiers.

The striker endured a poor Premier League campaign with Man United, scoring just four goals in 32 top-flight appearances.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo celebrated Portugal's Nations League triumph via Instagram on 9 June, as he shared a photo of himself holding the trophy with his partner, Georgina Rodriguez.

Hojlund has been linked with Napoli, while he gave Man United legend Ronaldo's post a like.

Man United edge closer to Bryan Mbeumo agreement

After his side finished just 15th in the Premier League, Ruben Amorim must recruit well for the Red Devils this summer, and his forward line is a particular area of concern.

With Hojlund potentially headed for the exit door, Man United have signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and will hope that the Brazil international will provide them with some much-needed firepower.

This term, the North West giants were overly reliant on Bruno Fernandes, who notched 19 goals and 18 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions.

Man United have joined the race for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but the potential acquisition of the free agent in isolation is arguably unlikely to solve Amorim's problems.

Meanwhile, the Old Trafford faithful could fear that Thomas Frank's imminent move from Brentford to Tottenham could scupper the Red Devils' efforts to sign Bryan Mbeumo.

However, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Amorim's side are nearing Mbeumo's signature.
