'Really Good Move' - Exclusive: Campbell reacts to PL club swoop for Rangers player
Kevin Campbell has insisted it would be a “really good move” from West Ham to sign Rangers defender Borna Barisic.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the former Arsenal and West Brom striker claimed the Hammers needed another left-back to provide cover for Aaron Cresswell.
Football Insider revealed earlier this week West Ham are eyeing up a move for Barisic ahead of the winter window after Arthur Masuaku suffered a serious knee injury that required surgery earlier this month.
Masuaku had revitalised his West Ham career this season as he thrived in a left wing-back role in David Moyes’ 3-5-2 system.
However, the 27-year-old’s progress was halted earlier this month when he underwent knee surgery prompting Moyes to switch to a back four.
Barisic has emerged a target for the Hammers after his key role in Rangers’ incredible start to the season.

The Croatian has missed just three games for the Gers this term and has registered 10 assists from left-back.
Asked by Football Insider if Barisic would provide adequate cover for Cresswell, Campbell said: “Cresswell has done pretty well.
“I think it would be a good signing – obviously you need two good players for every position.
“There’s going to be suspensions, injuries etc. so you need someone capable to come in.
“He’s younger so it could be a really good move.”
Leeds United were interested in Barisic last summer but were put off by the Light Blues’ demands of an £8million plus fee.
The 27-year-old moved to Ibrox from Croatian side NK Osijek for a £2million fee in the summer of 2018.
