Efe Ambrose is set to end his Celtic nightmare under Brendan Rodgers with the Championship being his most likely destination, according to a reliable journalist.
The Express claimed on it’s transfer blog (January 30, 3.01pm) that Hibernian boss Neil Lennon had made an offer to sign the 47-time Nigeria international.
Former senior Sky Sports reporter Graeme Bailey claimed on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday that Ambrose looked to be heading to the Championship.
One departure that could very well happen from Celtic today is Efe Ambrose, who looks to be heading to the Championship.

If Ambrose fails to secure a move away from Parkhead on deadline day, then he will most likely leave the 47-time Scottish champions in the summer with his contract set to expire in May 2017.
Ambrose, 28, has been with the Bhoys for almost five years after signing from Israeli outfit FC Ashdod back in the summer of 2012.
Making his debut for Celtic under Lennon back in September 2012, Ambrose has made a total of 169 league and cup appearances for the 47-time Scottish champions.
But with the likes of Erik Sviatchenko, Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata ahead of him in the pecking order, Ambrose has failed to make an impact under Rodgers.
This season, Ambrose has made just two appearances in the qualification for the Champions League group stage, failing to pull on the green and white of Celtic since July.
Football Insider verdict:
It is a move that will benefit all parties. Any interested suitors from the Championship will be signing a defender that still possesses an abundance of quality both with the ball, without it, and in the air. Celtic would finally be offloading a part of their squad that is no longer needed, which will see the Hoops make a considerable saving on his wage. Rodgers is in desperate need of trimming his huge first-team squad, and offloading Ambrose will help him do that. With his career at risk of beginning to stagnate, Ambrose must also seek a move in order to reignite his love with football after becoming disillusioned on the sidelines at Celtic Park.
In other Celtic transfer news, this defender could also be set to leave Parkhead after last-minute talks.
