Chelsea star Eden Hazard has returned to the pitch following a serious ankle injury, according to a reliable journalist.
Kristof Terreur, a Belgian reporter for Het Laatste Nieuws, has revealed on his personal Twitter account that the 26-year-old took part in a special friendly against Queens Park Rangers’ Elite Development Squad on Thursday which has not been confirmed by either club.
The journalist claims that the striker even managed to score during their stunning 8-0 victory against the development squad.
Hazard has been out of action since the beginning of June after sustaining a fractured ankle while on international duty with Belgium and missed Chelsea’s opening game of the season against Burnley.
Terreur also revealed that new signing Tiemoue Bakayoko also featured in the squad, which is a huge boost as he is recovering from a recent knee operation.
The journalist pictured Eden Hazard on his verified Twitter account, and said: “This man played in a special arranged friendly against QPR’s EDS (8-0). He even scored. Bakayoko and Musonda (2 goals) involved too.”

Bakayoko joined the club in July from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in a huge deal worth £36 million, but he missed out on his Premier League debut due to his rehabilitation.
The Chelsea duo’s return to the pitch will be vital to the team’s chances as well as being greatly anticipated by team mates, fans and manager Antonio Conte.
The Stamford Bridge boss has aired his frustrations about the club’s lack of transfers and their poor start to their campaign over recent weeks, and a return from Hazard as well as the the debut of Bakayoko will undoubtedly lift his spirits.
Chelsea head across London to the Wembley Stadium on Sunday as they take on Tottenham in their second game of the Premier League.
In other Chelsea news, the club are preparing a £120 million transfer splurge on three Premier League players.
