Reliable journalist: Leeds 'very keen' on Premier League left winger
By Harvey Byrne
Leeds are “very keen” to sign Liverpool left winger Ryan Kent who is currently on loan at Championship side Barnsley, according to a reliable journalist.
The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon has claimed on his personal Twitter account on Sunday that the Yorkshire giants still maintain a high interest in the 20-year-old attacker.
Garry Monk currently has a number of wide options, but with Alfonso Pedraza, Hadi Sacko and Modou Barrow all on temporary moves he could be looking for new targets this summer.
Additionally, Souleymane Doukara is often used out wide on the left side of the attack and he is set to enter the final year of his contract at the club in the summer.
Kent has only made one senior appearance for Liverpool so far in his career, which came in FA Cup clash last season against Exeter.

He is currently impressing for Barnsley in this current campaign and has managed to return three goals and three assists in 40 Championship appearances.
The youngster is known for his pace and at his age Monk may see him as the perfect addition for his progressive Leeds team.
Football Insider verdict:
If Leeds do make the Premier League this season then it is unlikely that Kent will be a signing to break into the first team for the next campaign. However, he can certainly become a name in the future and if the Whites are unfortunate enough to stay in the second tier he could be the player to help them finally return to the top-flight. The Yorkshire giants are currently playing with Pedraza out on the left, but if the club don’t win promotion then he will be sent back to Villarreal meaning Leeds will need another winger addition and Kent could be the perfect player to come in.
