Young Newcastle centre-back Lewis Gibson has not trained at the club since May, according to a reliable journalist.
Lee Ryder, the Chronicle’s chief sports writer has reported via his personal Twitter account on Sunday that the 17-year-old has been away from the Magpies’ setup for two months due to uncertainty over his future.
He is now also poised to complete a massive £6million move to Premier League rivals Everton, as reported by Ryder.

Gibson is considered a bright prospect in the Newcastle youth setup and he has already been capped 16 times at England Under-17 level.
However, he has not yet made a senior appearance for the Magpies while he also has just one-year remaining on his contract at the club, leaving many to think the north east giants are getting a good deal.
Additionally, if he has spent a couple of months away from the club in order to push for a move to Everton then those associated with the club will be happy to see him depart.
Football Insider verdict:
Gibson may be a talented player, but no individual is bigger than a club, especially one who has never even made a senior appearance for their side. The Magpies could have been a great club for Gibson to develop also with less competition for a place in the first team of Newcastle than there is at Everton, who have just splashed mega cash on Michael Keane from Burnley. However, if he hasn’t trained since May then it is clear that he has had his turned and it is now up to Newcastle to get a good deal for him at £6million for a player who has never played and is also going into the final year of his contract is certainly good for the north east giants.
In other Newcastle transfer news, these north east rivals are no longer interested in this Magpies man.
