West Ham are no closer to the signing of M’Baye Niang as AC Milan confirm they have received no offers for the striker, according to a reliable journalist.
Guardian Sport’s Deputy Editor Ed Aarons has now revealed on his personal Twitter account that Niang’s agent has claimed no official bid been made for the French speed merchant, despite the Hammers interest.

It is believed that former Croatia manager Bilic is a big fan of the France Under-21 international as he can play as a centre-forward and out wide.
The east London outfit have targeted a new striker this month, after having bids rejected for Sunderland’s Jermain Defoe and Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi.
The Mail claimed earlier this week that talks are ongoing with Brentford’s Scottish goal machine Scott Hogan over a potential £15million move.
Despite not being a regular starter in Vincenzo Montella’s lineup this season, Niang has still managed three goals and three assists in 17 games.
With strong competition being provided by Carlos Bacca, Luiz Adriano and Gianluca Lapadula, Niang could look to jump ship and a move to the London Stadium could be hard to resist.
Football Insider verdict:
The lack of movement from the Hammers will worry fans as they remain keen for their side to bring Milan’s number 11 to the Premier League, despite Bilic’s previous overseas recruits failing to do themselves justice. Possessing an abundance of pace from out wide, or even as a striker partner to Andy Carroll, Niang would provide a new attacking venom to the Hammers as they look to continue their resurgent league form that has seen them climb to 12th in the Premier League table.
In other West Ham transfer news, this Premier League star is set to have a medical with the Hammers on Friday.
